The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck is a timeless classic and is one of my top five recommended books. It was a book way ahead of its time and even after 40 years of its publishing, the lessons ring true. It is one of the books that I go back to every few years and I always learn something new. My favorite quote, that I am still reflecting up after reading it some 20 years ago, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”
