Avoiding things that might lead to success is logical if your brain believes success will be more painful than where you sit right now.

If you’re like most nice guys, you probably have numerous fears that bad things will happen to you if you are successful.

A lot of people live by unconscious mental models that limit their success in all areas of life.

What appears to be self-sabotage is usually just a person acting consistently with their deepest held beliefs and core issues.

Typically self-sabotage is dwelling in the familiar and protecting yourself from some unconscious fear.

There isn’t some magic formula for success.

It’s not some magical place you’ll arrive at and suddenly feel complete or satisfied.

It’s not something you’ll ever finish.

It’s the process of applying skills that work consistently over time.

The most important part of this process is becoming aware of how you get in your own way.

It’s important that you learn from your mistakes and quickly get back on course every time you drift.

The world and women will always present you with unforeseen challenges.

You are either living fully, giving your gift in the midst of those challenges, or you are waiting for an imaginary future that will never come.

Men who have lived significant lives are men who never waited: not for money, security, ease, or women.

Join us this week for Success September as we identify some common fears of success and identify the ways that people unconsciously avoid doing things that might lead to success.
