One of the Nice Guy’s major issues is perfectionism. He believes that he needs to always be right, never make a mistake, and show no flaws or weaknesses. He believes that unless he is perfect and good all of the time, then he will be rejected by everyone around him and life, in general, will go to hell. It’s a very black-and-white mindset, and the constant struggle to keep everything in balance is horribly self-destructive.
We’ll learn a new way of thinking to replace the Perfectionist: the Optimalist. We can’t always be perfect, and it’s a mistake to even try, but we can live our best possible lives and be our best possible selves, while still recognizing that mistakes and detours are a normal (and beneficial!) part of life.
By rejecting the all-or-nothing thinking of the Perfectionist and embracing the more nuanced, complex mindset of the Optimalist, we can learn to accept our failures along with our successes – and lead much happier lives!

Our Weekly meetings are held on Tuesday nights (a minimum of 48 weeks per year) 6 - 8 pm via Zoom. They are split into two parts, the check-ins, followed by the presentation and discussion on the topic of the night.
